Head of State Policy & Government Relations, Waymo

Annabel R. Chang is Head of State Policy & Government Relations at Waymo, an autonomous driving technology company. She previously served as the first Vice President at Alaska Airlines for the San Francisco Bay Area, where she shaped and executed strategic external relations, local government advocacy, and community relations efforts. Annabel also contributed to the policy landscape as Director of Public Policy for Lyft, working on initiatives related to the sharing economy, technology policy, and autonomous vehicles. Before her roles in the private sector, Annabel served as an Assistant District Attorney in San Francisco and worked as a Litigation Associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP. Her public sector experience includes positions as a Legislative Correspondent in the Office of U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and a Legislative Fellow in the California State Assembly. Annabel has been recognized as a 2018 San Francisco Business Times 40 under 40 Awardee and received the 2018 San Francisco Business Times Woman of Influence Recognition. She holds a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
